about the book
Part of Thames & Hudson's Art Essentials series, Queer Art moves beyond narrow readings that tie queerness to overt desire or fixed identity. It opens with how resilience has shaped queer expression, then travels through selfhood, love, history, and futurism, uncovering covert histories and imagining futures where art reshapes social norms. Paperback, 176 pages, 87 color illustrations. Co-written with Mollie E. Barnes.
