In What We Keep: Advice from Artists and Designers on Living with the Things You Love, gallerist Jean Lin presents an interior design book for collectors, would-be collectors, and design-loving hunter/gatherers who crave objects of beauty to display in their homes. The book includes a foreword written by Asad Syrkett, editor-in-chief of Elle Decor.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Jean Lin is a New York City-based design entrepreneur and the founder of the downtown design gallery and studio Colony. Trained as a fashion designer, she has professional experience as a fashion designer, interior designer, editor, writer, trend forecaster, educator and curator. Jean has served as part time faculty at her alma mater, Parsons School of Design, and a guest lecturer and critic at Rhode Island School of Design, Pratt Institute, Massachusetts College of Art and Design, and Tama Art University in Tokyo.

Brooke Holm is an Australian-American photographer and artist based in New York whose work traverses dramatic landscapes, conceptual still life and considered architectural spaces. In her work, she reveres the qualities of light, shape and space, wielding each element to create impressionable imagery that connects with viewers in both the commercial and art worlds. In a climate where these lines are ever-blurred, she is motivated to produce meaningful work with like minded creatives that contributes to both positive social connection and protection of our planet.

They'll be joined in conversation by Benjamin Stelly, Austin native and co-principal of the interior design firm Stelly Selway.
